One of the characteristic of good leadership is that a leader must act both as an insider and outsider in an organisation and must be able to perceive hidden opportunities in the middle of external and internal threats to effectively challenge subordinates mindsets. Another characteristic of good leadership is he or she must be unafraid to make decisions that appear unconventional to most people. Being able to surface employees resistance into the open is another characteristic of leadership.
