Meditation : Its benefits
Meditation helps to increase the ability to concentrate and improve memory power.
It brings in a sense of inner peace and tranquility and makes you appealing in nature.
Meditation is also thought to tap the hidden potentials of an individual because it is believed that human beings are born with a great capacity for self-healing.
Meditation can calm the mind and free it from anxiety. The meditative state allows nerves and tired muscles to relax and will calm heart rates and ease blood pressure.
It's so restful that you want to do it daily.
How to meditate:
- Find a quiet spot free from distractions and it can be indoor or outdoor.
- Wear loose clothes, preferably white in colour.
- Relax and sit comfortably keeping the back straight and legs in full lotus position (crossed). Keep your chin up.
- Play soft and relaxing music to keep you focused.
- Close your eyes and drop your shoulders. Breathe slowly and deeply from the belly for five to six times.
- Think of something to focus on to prevent your mind from wandering. Some people may not require this. Let your thoughts come and go and free your mind.
-Sit still for about 15 to 20 minutes, inhaling and exhaling and allow your body to relax. Best to perform meditation twice a day.
-After you feel totally calm and relaxed, gradually open your eyes and start your day with renewed
energy
