Coping With Stress
Stress, anxiety and worry often happens in our lives. Learning some stress management techniques such as hypnosis, yoga, time management can help one in coping with stress better to provide emotional and stress relief. Also, becoming aware of your stress symptoms and taking steps to manage it is the first step to stress management.

Stress management is also about recognizing what you can and cannot change and learning stress relief techniques to help reduce and cope with stress. Consider dealing with stress anxiety, managing stress and coping with stress as a natural process in life rather than a series of irritations.

Worrying About Stress is Stressful

Stress attacks everyone, whether you're the CEO of a major company or a lowly-paid clerk. But not everyone suffers from the same type of stress. You're suffering from acute stress if stress attacks only when you're under pressure due to deadlines and problems at hand. The most common form of stress, acute stress is short-term and usually disappears once the stress factor is gone. Sadly, it also leaves you with a major headache and an upset stomach.

Chronic stress is what you should be worried about. A prolonged type of stress, it can take its toll on the mind and body. Unemployment, increasing standards of living and dealing with a dead-end relationship are major stress factors as they ignite feeligs of of helplessness and lack of control. We may not be able to change stressful situations but we can control the way we react to these conditions. The first step is to identify the warning signs.

Symptoms of Stress
Stress causes hair loss and ultimately white hair as it shuts off the supply of nutrients meant for the roots. Outbreaks of eczema and psoriasis can also be linked to stress. Stress can trigger off headaches, irritability, anxiety, depression and insomnia while asthma is made worse off by stress. Mouth ulcers are often symptoms of stress as are stomach ulcer, gastritis and increased cholesterol levels. In men, stress can result in impotence and premature ejaculation.

The bad news is, stress can be deadly. Accumulated stress has been linked to heart failure and high blood pressure. The good news is, you can manage stress by being conscious of the situation and dealing with the pressure so that it doesn't become a danger to your health. Take control of your stress even in the face of setbacks. If stress affect your health continuously, consult your doctor for advice on how to manage stress effectively.
